Our Process


Our usual process is to initially have a look at your Xero file. This gives us an indication of where things are up to, how things are currently done, if there is room for improvement, and what the commitment from us would be moving forward. From there we can give you a detailed breakdown of the initial work required (if any) and our ongoing fees. We don’t charge on an hourly basis, and after our evaluation we can give you our weekly fee for the services outlined.

To invite us into your Xero file, go to Settings > Users > Invite A User. Please invite Sarah Stein (sarah@missefficiency.com.au) as a Business Advisor with Payroll Admin access. Then shoot Sarah an email with your contact details and a quick rundown of your requirements. She’ll do the review and come back to you with her recommendations.

Once you come onboard as a client there’s a bit of setup that we initially do to ensure all our workflows and processes are in place.

We work in such a way that everybody could work on your file if somebody were to be away or something urgent was required on your “usual” bookkeeper’s day off.  However, we still like there to be some consistency which is why you’ll have a dedicated bookkeeper taking care of payroll, somebody (maybe the same, maybe different) taking care of the weekly/monthly processing and payments, and somebody taking care of the review and reporting. This means we strive for “no gaps” in our service delivery, whilst maintaining a consistent approach, and ensuring there are a number of “eyes” and touch points on your file to ensure quality control.

We’ll work closely with you and your accounting team initially to get things moving, and once our workflows are in place you’ll find that you have more time to spend working on your business and require less time worrying about the finances.
